Dee Mangin

Dee Mangin is a New Zealand family physician and, currently, Associate Professor and Director of the Primary Care Research Group at the Christchurch School of Medicine at the University of Otago in Christchurch, New Zealand.

Dr. Mangin’s research interests include rational prescribing and the influences of science, policy and commerce on the nature of care. Her expertise spans a generation of clinical evidence using randomised controlled trials, the effects of pharmaceutical company promotion to consumers and physicians, effective medicine use in older age, innovative models of general practice care and effective incorporation of evidence into patient-centered practice.

She is a member of the Pharmaceutical and Therapeutic Products Advisory Committee.
